A Mountain Quiltfest is one of Pigeon
Forge’s most popular events, attracting more than 20,000 visitors to the Smoky
Mountains each year. While many
of those folks are quilters (young, old, novice and expert), the event also
brings in crafters and those who simply enjoy amazing works of quilted art.
A large quilt show displays more than 250
of those works of art during Quiltfest, while a vendor mall gives the
opportunity to shop for the latest supplies and fabrics.
More than 60 classes and seminars are
offered during the award-winning event, with some of the nation’s top quilting
instructors at the helm. Quiltfest 2013 will feature Charlotte Angotti, Cindy
Blackberg, Karen Kay Buckley, Cynthia England, Bonnie Goolsby, Klaudeen Hansen,
Harriett Hargrave, Paula Nadelstern, Vikki Pignatelli and Ami Simms.
A Mountain Quiltfest is produced by the
City of Pigeon Forge and co-hosted by the Piecemakers and Sevier Valley
Quilters Guilds.
