Carbo’s Smoky Mountain Police Museum

Carbo’s Police Museum is the kind of offbeat attraction that appeals to all ages. A Pigeon Forge favorite, Carbo’s Tennesse Police Museum displays an extensive private collection of police memorabilia…more than 5,000 pieces in all and still growing. The Pigeon Forge Police Museum’s claim to fame is its Sheriff Buford Pusser exhibit, said to be the world’s largest. Buford Pusser was the Tennessee Police lawman immortalized by the 1973 Joe Don Baker film Walking Tall. Among the highlights of the Carbo’s Police Museum Buford Pusser exhibit is the 1974 Corvette that the crime-fighter was driving when he died.

Other items on display at Carbo’s Police Museum include uniforms, badges, handcuffs, billy clubs and weapons. The Carbo’s Smoky Mountain Police Museum collection, begun more than 50 years ago, features law enforcement memorabilia from the U.S. as well as foreign countries.

Carbo’s Tennessee Police Museum has been welcoming Pigeon Forge visitors since 1976.

Carbo’s Police Museum is a seasonal attraction open to the public from April through October. Doors open at 10 am, but operating hours and days open can vary.
