When the kiddos get hungry, we all know that is the sign to eat very soon! Otherwise, they become irritated and make it hard on everyone else in the family. Don’t worry… Pigeon Forge has you covered with plenty of great places to eat. Here is a list of the best kid-friendly restaurants in town for you to check out on your next visit to the Smokies.
The top place would have to be Dixie Stampede. It is known as “The Most Fun Place to Eat in the Smokies.” Your family will get dinner and entertainment for the price of one! Everyone gets the same 4 course meal here, although a vegetarian meal can also be requested. Children ages 4-11 require a child’s admission ticket and children under 3 are free but must sit in parent’s lap and eat from their plate. Your admission includes the pre-show in the Dixie Belle saloon, dinner, and the main show which features a friendly competition between the North and South, amazing horse riding stunts, and a musical production with spectacular special effects. When you leave, you will know why it is the most fun place to eat in the Smokies!
For Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner:
Mama’s Farmhouse is a great place if you want everyone to eat a hearty meal that will keep them full for several hours! Each meal is served family style and each day of the week offers a slightly different menu. Kids age 5 and under eat free with a paying adult and kids ages 6-12 eat at a discounted price. If you leave Mama’s Farmhouse hungry, it is your own fault!
The Old Mill restaurant is located in the Old Mill Square. You will enjoy a great view of the
Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que is perfect for the BBQ loving family. For breakfast, they offer items from their menu and also an all-you-can-eat breakfast bar. The breakfast bar turns into a soup and salad bar for lunch and dinner. The kid’s menu is for ages 10 and under and offers a variety of options from BBQ chicken to ribs or even a trip to the soup and salad bar. Each kid’s meal also comes with a drink and a fun dessert.
Mel’s Diner is a 50’s style diner. They serve classic American food and are famous for their burgers and banana splits. The kids menu is for ages 12 and under. Bring along some quarters so that you can have some fun with the juke box!
For Lunch or Dinner:
Alamo Steakhouse is a nice Texas style steakhouse deep in the heart of Tennessee. They serve hand cut steaks and even homemade soups and sauces. They offer a kid’s menu for ages 10 and under with generous sized portions and a dessert with each meal. There is a menu for the Little Wranglers and also one for the Hungry Wranglers (ones with a little bigger appetite) which even has a steak option. The kids will stay entertained with the Wiki Stix they give them while waiting for their food.
Big Daddy’s Pizzeria– Who doesn’t love pizza? This is another great place the whole family will enjoy. They use fresh ingredients and hand made dough and then cook their pizzas is a wood fired brick oven. It is a taste you won’t forget! The best part is the kids can also play in Big Daddy’s Hollywood Arcade while you wait or even after their meal while the adults relax.
Hard Rock Cafe is great for those kids that love music. They offer a fun atmosphere with music memorabilia from classic to current musicians. Their kid’s menu is for ages 10 and under and has a nice variety of items with creative music names like Mac-Daddy Mac and Cheese and Buddy’s Jr Bangin’ Burger with Cheese. Be sure to check out the Rock Wall Solo which is an interactive touch wall that reveals fun music memorabilia.
