Heritage Day at the Old Mill
Autumn in Pigeon Forge is a beautiful time of the year. With the start of the season comes cooler weather, color change on the leaves, and fall festivals. Old Mill Heritage Day at the Old Mill Square in Pigeon Forge is one of the best fall festivals around! Heritage Day has free admission and will feature games, great food, music, old-time crafts, storytelling, and more.
Learn about the life of early settlers of the Smoky Mountains through live demonstrations and see how they made molasses, apple butter, lye soap, and cooked meals over an open fire. Enjoy traditional mountain music by various performers and be sure to check out the mountain cloggers, dancers, and twirlers.
All kinds of delicious old-time foods will be available; cornbread, fried green tomatoes, chicken and dumplings, and more. Children will love the old-fashioned games, petting zoo, train rides, and craft tent. Also, be sure and take a guided tour of the Historic Old Mill which predates the Civil War!
This year is the 9th Annual Heritage Day and will be held Saturday September 22 from 10am to 6pm. So bring the family on out and enjoy fall in Pigeon Forge!
