Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Colorful and Inspiring!

The little divas picked up a brochure on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on one of our dining adventures in Pigeon Forge. They love to gather a collection of brochures on each of our trips and picked this one up because of the vibrant colors. Mom and dad decided that it would be a great show for them to see as it is the actual Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. So off we headed to the Miracle Theater to purchase our tickets and we were pleasantly surprised to find out kids are free!!!!

We were able to get seats in the center section and not far from the front of the stage. As we entered the auditorium, we were asked by one of the greeters if we needed a booster seat for Peanut. That was the first time we had been asked at any of the shows we have attended and it is a great idea for those little tikes who have a hard time keeping the folding seats down. The facility was very spacious as were the aisles of seating. We did not feel like we were sitting right on top of the people in front of us which was nice as mom did not have to worry about Jellybean or Peanut kicking someone during one of their fidgeting moments!!

The musical was vibrant and full of life from the beginning. The stage sets and costumes were phenomenal and the acting, singing, and dancing were top notch. The performers kept the story alive in a moving yet comical way. Jellybean and Peanut loved how on several of the acts the performers made their way out into the audience. This allowed them a close up view of the glitz and glamour of the costumes!! Cd’s of the soundtrack were available for purchase at intermission and following the show, along with other inspirational souvenirs. The cast was available to autograph the cd’s following the show.
What a beautiful recollection of the story of Joseph- retold through song and dance. We felt like we were on Broadway!! The little divas were at the edge of their seats for the entire show, tapping their feet and clapping their hands. This show will be on our “must see” again list!!
