Missing Pigeon Forge

Oh, How We Miss Thee!

Pigeon Forge SignPigeon Forge has become one of our family’s favorite getaway places and we miss it when we are not there!! Just the mention of the name brings up a sense of relaxation with thoughts of fresh mountain air, great food, and lots of family friendly entertainment. From our times experiencing “the mountain life” from a cozy cabin to our times walking along the Little Pigeon River holding hands and sharing in a game of “I Spy”……we love it all and it has become a “piece” of us.

The little divas frequently bring up memories of our trips in their conversations with people. Jellybean loves to tell anyone that will listen about her indoor skydiving adventure at Flyaway and Peanut tries to relive the “Christmas in the Smokies” show from Dollywood with her singing and dancing. We all laugh thinking about the fun times had at the Hoot n Holler dinner show and at the Comedy Barn variety show. Mom gets hungry thinking of the great Southern food we have eaten on our trips from the Pancakes Royale at Log Cabin Pancake House to the Chicken and Dumplings at Old Mill. Dad has been the only true adventure taker with his roll down the hill at the Zorb along with being the adult to indoor skydive and ride the Mystery Mine roller coaster at Dollywood with Jellybean. We have even justified the little divas missing a few days of school with our educational experience at the Titanic Museum!! Lots of fun times and lots of fun memories!!

We are anxiously awaiting our next visit to the Great Smoky Mountains and the great city of Pigeon Forge. Hopefully a beautiful palette of fall colors will greet us along with some cool, crisp fall temperatures!
