Music Road Hotel- Good Deal, Good Fun, Good View

I first noticed the Music Road Hotel when I was in town for Quiltfest with my mom. The Music Road Convention Center was the location for the quilt showing and the antique bed turning events. Mom and I both commented on how nice and peaceful the area was. There are lots of trees and the Little Pigeon River runs along the backside of the hotel. Although closed at the time for the season, I noticed the nice outdoor pool which I knew would be a plus for the little divas. So, the Music Road Hotel was our choice for accommodations on our summer trip this year. It more than covered our checklist: ample space, breakfast option, and activities for the little divas.

Space:  I was immediately impressed with the size of our room. The little divas were quick to choose their bed and then proceeded to dig into the nice snack basket that was left for us. I first noticed the huge bathroom with a double vanity. Lots of bathroom space is always a plus when you have 3 girls getting ready in the mornings! Once all of our belongings were in the room, we checked out our view. We had a private balcony overlooking the river. It was the perfect spot for relaxing after the girls went to bed. Since we were there at the end of summer, the night air was getting a little cooler and we could enjoy the sounds of nature even more.Little Pigeon River

Breakfast Option:  Music Road Hotel offers a nice hot breakfast buffet which we tried out a couple of the mornings. There was quite of variety of options from eggs and bacon to cereal and bagels but their cinnamon rolls were the biggest hit. They were gone almost as quickly as the staff put them out. The best part for Jellybean and Peanut was sharing their adventures from the previous day with the other hotel guests.

Music Road Hotel Lazy RiverKid Activities:  We spent almost every evening at the pool. The little divas floated along in the lazy river and slid down the waterslide over and over. They had competitions jumping off the diving board while dad and I were the judges. On our way back up to the room, we enjoyed hanging out in the rockers along the back walkway that overlooks the river. It was great family time to sit and reflect on what the best part of the day was for each of us.

Music Road Hotel passed in our books and from the looks of things while we were there, other families were enjoying it as well!
