Wittmann Family Visit Pigeon ForgeWe’ve had a few days of rain here in Pigeon Forge but that won’t stop our guests from enjoying their stay. This week’s featured guests are the Wittmann family who came all the way from Byram, Mississippi.

I caught up with them as they waited on the Fun-Time Trolley to take them over to the theme park. They informed me that they came in on Sunday evening and were planning on a three day stay before heading back South to Mississippi.

Despite the rainy forecast the Wittmanns said that they were planning a day at Dollywood. They had said this was the main attraction they came to visit while in Pigeon Forge.

The Wittmanns brought three children with them, who were obviously excited to be going to Dollywood and visiting Pigeon Forge. But I think the most excited member of the family was their grandmother who was absolutely ecstatic when she heard about the extended operating hours and fireworks display during Dollywood’s Great American Summer which will begin in a couple weeks.

The family said they’re staying at a nearby hotel and plan on heading over to Dixie Stampede for the famous dinner show at least one of the evenings during their stay.

Mr.Wittmann explained to me that while some of the family had been to Pigeon Forge before, it was the first time for several of them. I think it’s safe to say that they would all love to come back again!
