A “Blazing” Good Time
After a nice Saturday lunch at Bennett’s BBQ, the family was in the mood for some miniature golf fun. The little divas had noticed the old timey fire truck outside Walden’s Landing Firehouse Golf multiple times and chose to head there.
First thing we had to do was take pictures of Jellybean and Peanut standing on the fire truck and then let them climb around and mess with the gadgets on the truck. Mom finally convinced them that we needed to head inside and get started. Once inside, Dad noticed numerous framed letters and patches hanging on the walls. As he got to reading them, he discovered that they were from firemen across the country “thanking” them for their support of firemen. How cool is that??
We each grabbed a ball and golf club and were ready to start. They offer 2 different 18 hole courses. The little divas chose the course to the “right.” They both took some practice turns on the practice holes and then off we went as a family on the 18 hole adventure. The landscaping was nice with lots of water flowing and plenty of fireman and firehouse themed props to entertain kids. The fun part about it was the firemen were all bears…adding to the Smoky Mountain fun. Mom started off in the lead but after about 6 holes she was losing to Dad. Jellybean was the first to spot out where each hole was located and of course, first to take a turn at each hole. Peanut took her turn at each hole and amazingly enough, stayed entertained for the entire 18 holes!! That is definitely an achievement!! Dad ended up winning with Jellybean and Mom not too far behind.
Walden’s Landing Firehouse Golf proved to be lots of fun and a perfect afternoon adventure for our family!!
