SUMMARY:Inside the Murdaugh Murders - Alcatraz East
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]A modern American tragedy. A Lowcountry dynasty. A story that gripped the nation. When Mandy Matney released the first episode of her investigative podcast\, The Murdaugh Murders\, she began to unravel a carefully crafted web of suspicious circumstances and crimes that exposed the darkest secrets of the powerful Murdaugh family. Matney explored not only the June 7th Murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh but also other related events\, including suspicious deaths\, financial crimes\, civil lawsuits\, and allegations of corruption tied to the family’s long-standing legal influence in the area. \nMore than just a retelling of this nationally recognized case\, this exhibit will invite guests to explore the world of modern investigative journalism\, the cases discussed in the podcast\, and how power and privilege changed one South Carolina region forever.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”133607″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Alcatraz East: All Rise: Lawyers\, Clients & Legendary Trials
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The American justice system gives individuals like Karen Read a fair chance to fight the charges against them. The Sixth Amendment of the Constitution ensures the right for anyone accused of a crime to have a speedy and public trial\, with additional Amendments providing the right to legal representation. Criminal defense attorneys\, whether public defenders or privately practicing lawyers\, are responsible for protecting the rights of their clients through the legal process. \nThe temporary exhibit at Alcatraz East will look at all aspects of the American criminal justice system. Titled “All Rise: Lawyers\, Clients & Legendary Trials\,” the exhibit will open October 23\, 2026\, and remain open through October 2028. It will include information about the rights of the accused\, notable trials and attorneys\, the complexities of the criminal justice system\, and more. The exhibit will feature over 25 individual cases\, as well as notable plea agreements\, miscarriages of justice\, and uncommon criminal proceedings. \nSeveral artifacts will be on display in the exhibit\, including Karen Read’s trial verdict suit\, prison-worn sneakers of Charles Manson\, and a signed sketch by Michael Jackson. The exhibit will be of interest to those who would like to learn more about the criminal defense process\, explore more about specific cases\, and see genuine artifacts.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Some of the best holiday views in the Smokies don’t require leaving the car. During Winterfest\, Pigeon Forge lines its roads with more than 5 million lights\, and the Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights is a self-guided route past the biggest displays. Pack the car with blankets and hot cocoa\, queue up a holiday playlist\, and take it slow. The 2026–27 season runs Nov. 6\, 2026 – Feb. 15\, 2027.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \nWhat You’ll See Along the Route\nThe tour leans into the Smokies with glowing bear\, deer\, and fox displays that appear to wander through town\, and Island Drive and The Island in Pigeon Forge glitter with giant ornaments and towering trees. Even the 200-foot Great Smoky Mountain Wheel joins in with red\, green\, and white lights. \nAlong the Parkway\, nursery rhymes come to life: Mother Goose\, the clock from Hickory Dickory Dock\, the cat and fiddle from Hey Diddle Diddle\, and Humpty Dumpty with all the king’s horses and all the king’s men. Watch for the 60-foot tree wrapped in lights\, ribbons\, and ornaments from the bottom branch to the star on top. It’s a favorite stop for a family photo. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”17693″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”17695″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”] \nDriving Tour Map\nDownload the 2026 Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights map before heading out\, or open the interactive map below on your phone.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Wonders of Light Driving Tour Map” align=”center” custom_background=”#4E80EE” custom_text=”#fff” i_icon_fontawesome=”” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mypigeonforge.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2025%2F11%2FWinterfest-Wonders-of-Light_Driving-Tour_2025.pdf|target:_blank” button_block=”true” add_icon=”true” custom_hover_background=”#213C78″ custom_hover_text=”#f7f7f7″ custom_border=”#4E80EE” custom_hover_border=”#213C78″][vc_gmaps link=”#E-8_JTNDaWZyYW1lJTIwc3JjJTNEJTIyaHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZ3d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbSUyRm1hcHMlMkZkJTJGZW1iZWQlM0ZtaWQlM0QxVWR2Tm5saUVlTThnR3p6WTd2ZHFTcTBYb3BzYndITW0lMjIlMjB3aWR0aCUzRCUyMjY0MCUyMiUyMGhlaWdodCUzRCUyMjQ4MCUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRmlmcmFtZSUzRQ==”][vc_column_text] \nPrefer to Walk? Add the Wonders of Light Walking Trail\nFor a closer look\, park the car and stroll the Winterfest Wonders of Light Walking Trail\, where more than 1 million LED lights line the Riverwalk trail\, some standing over 25 feet tall. Many families do both: a drive through town\, then a walk along the river.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

The competition includes cash prizes for most authentic wagon and awards in various food categories\, including meat\, potatoes\, bread\, beans and dessert. All food items must be prepared onsite and using ingredients provided to the cooking teams. Condiments may be used at the cook’s discretion. SUMMARY:Dollywood’s I Will Always Love You Festival
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Each spring\, as the Smokies start to green up again\, Dollywood turns the whole park into a love letter to songwriting. The I Will Always Love You Festival runs March 11 through April 11\, filling Dollywood with a spring music festival built around the stories behind the songs. Visitors can enjoy Dolly-inspired shows\, photo spots throughout the park\, larger-than-life performances\, interactive installations\, and more. \nHeidi Parton Sings the Story\nSome of the best festival moments come from Dolly’s own songbook. Heidi Parton takes the stage as a headliner\, the crowd joins in on sing-alongs to familiar favorites\, and From The Heart: The Life & Music of Dolly Parton walks through Dolly’s life one song at a time. New to the lineup this year\, Moto Motion: Freestyle Showdown and Artrageous bring a different kind of energy to the park. \nCelebration Sky and the LOVE Sign\nSeasonal art pops up throughout the park during the festival. Celebration Sky spreads a colorful canopy overhead\, and the LOVE installation returns as one of the festival’s most familiar photo stops. Plan a few extra minutes to get a spring picture at both spots\, especially if someone in the group wants a photo-worthy memory. \nFestival Food and the Tasting Pass\nLimited-time dishes and seasonal treats are available across the park\, and a Tasting Pass lets guests sample several sweet and savory items in one visit\, so it’s easy to try a little of everything between shows. Dollywood will announce the 2027 Tasting Pass closer to the festival. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
