Horseback Riding
Horseback riding in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a great way to enjoy the scenic trails. There are 4 riding stables available through mid-March to late November to arrange for a horse a guide from:
- Cades Cove Riding Stables
- Smokemont Riding Stable
- Smoky Mountain Riding Stables
- Sugarlands Riding Stables
You can ride your own horse, but be sure to review Great Smoky Mountain National Park trail map as horses are only allowed on designated trails. Horseback riding in Great Smoky Mountains National Park can last from 45 minutes to several hours depending on your trail choice.
Horseback riding in Pigeon Forge is also available at the Big Rock Dude Ranch at Ponderosa, year round.
