The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced I-40 at the Tennessee/North Carolina border has reopened as of June 27 to one-lane traffic in both directions with a lowered speed limit. Trucks and commercial vehicles are allowed; however, oversized loads are not allowed. Please be mindful of crews who continue to work in this area and exercise caution.
