29th Annual Dolly’s Homecoming Parade!

The 29th Annual Dolly Homecoming Parade is scheduled for next Friday, May 2. This parade is always one of the biggest and most fun events in Pigeon Forge.

Starting at 6 p.m., led by Grand Marshal Dolly Parton, the parade route will start at traffic light #6 on the Parkway and head north to traffic light #3.

This year’s parade features 111 participants and more than 75 beautifully decorated floats. Marching bands, majorettes, tractors and horses will be on hand as usual, as well as several new guests.

Over 100 members from the Crossroads Christian Church Choir will on hand to share their songs. A float from The Island will also be participating this year with some steel drums to liven up the crowd.

With Dollywood’s newest rollercoaster FireChaser Express opening recently, expect something firefighter themed from Ms. Dolly. The Pigeon Forge Fire Department will also play a part, showing off their new ladder truck which features a ladder that can extend over 100 feet.

This event frequently draws more than 50,000 people with many of them arriving early to get a good vantage point. If you plan on being one of the thousands to line the Parkway be sure and make your plans now! Come out and enjoy the 29th Annual Dolly Homecoming Parade in Pigeon Forge!
