The new Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show opens on May 24th. Be prepared for an adventure, matey! Blackbeard, Calico Jack and the Crimson and Sapphire crews will take you on a voyage on their 3 ships inside the hideaway lagoon. You will be treated to a 4-course feast along with being amazed and entertained by mermaids, tropical birds, and maybe even some sword fighting. Go early and check out the fun in the Pirates Village where plenty of interactive fun awaits.
In addition to the opening of Dollywood’s newest expansion, Wildwood Grove, featuring more great rides and lots of fun kids’ activities, the Barbeque and Bluegrass Festival at Dollywood starts on May 24th and runs through June 2nd. The festival is filled with free bluegrass concerts and some of the best barbecue around. There will be 3 different stages throughout the park filled with bluegrass sounds as well as talented artists roaming the park showcasing their talents. Your taste buds will be in barbeque heaven! Ribs by the slab, barbecue chicken, or maybe you prefer saucy pulled pork….whatever you desire, you won’t be disappointed.

Whatever your plans are for Memorial Day Weekend in Pigeon Forge, make a point to spend some time hanging out at Patriot Park. The park is dedicated to the veterans of Sevier County. As you walk the trail you will see flags from all 50 states and branches of the armed forces. Check out the Patriot Missile which was used during the first Gulf Ward and even a replica Liberty Bell. There is so much history and it is a great way to honor those that have fought for our country’s freedom.
