Country Tonite

…Music and Dancing at its Best!

Country Tonite houses a 1500 seat auditorium and there does not seem to be a bad seat in the house. The little divas like to sit as close to the front as possible at shows because they do not want to miss anything. They lucked out on this one because we happened to get tickets for the front row on the right side of the auditorium!!! The host of the show as well as the lead female singers winked and waved at Jellybean and Peanut a couple of times which made them feel extra special!!

They definitely sport some first class talent in all areas here! This 2 hour show is fast paced and includes plenty of gospel, country, and patriotic music, as well as amazing dancing. Jellybean and Peanut were fascinated with the many sparkling costumes that the singers and dancers wore and especially at how fast they seemed to change costumes. “Bubba the Redneck Ranger” is the comedian of the show and definitely kept the laughs rolling, even for dad who isn’t really a country music fan!! I was amazed by the talents of the harmonica player who had toured in the past with such well known artist as Loretta Lynn and George Jones. Best of all, the Country Tonite show includes youth performers!!! There is a young girl and a young man who are both under the age of 13. They both did an outstanding job singing and dancing and the young girl was amazing with her yodeling. Peanut kept trying her luck at yodeling for several days after we left.

There was an intermission between the 1st and 2nd half of the show. This was a good thing as it allowed Jellybean and Peanut some time to get out of their seats and run around. We also grabbed a snack from the concessions area. You gotta love munching on fresh popped popcorn while you are enjoying a show!!

The performers were available after the show for a meet and greet. The little divas were all smiles for their picture with the beautiful female singers and with the youth performers. Country Tonite is quality entertainment and definitely a show worth seeing. It is evident why it repeatedly receives “Best Show in the Smokies” awards!!
