It’s hard to believe that summer will be coming to an end soon. If you haven’t already visited, it is time to head to Pigeon Forge and make some fun summer memories with your family. The jacks are back at Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Show! This highly-anticipated show is officially open, and better than ever. The show features world-class lumberjacks representing the Dawson and McGraw families in 11 thrilling, fast paced tests of skill and prowess ranging from chopping and axe throwing to tree climbing and log rolling. Check ’em out on your end-of-summer Pigeon Forge vacation.
Celebrate Freedom is one of the best things in August in Pigeon Forge. Military and first responders are honored all month long with discounts at participating businesses. It is one of the many ways Pigeon Forge says “Thank You” to all of our great heroes!
Dollywood has some amazing summer specials going on right now. The first one is “Everyone Pays Kid’s Price.” You must buy your tickets online for a savings of up to $13 a ticket, but it’s worth it! This special runs through September 26th so there is plenty of time to enjoy it. Take advantage of these ticket prices and check out the Rock the Smokies event at Dollywood on August 25th. Christian music stars will rock the stage at the Celebrity Theater for three shows. It will be an inspiring day and a great way to end summer. The second special is for Dollywood’s Splash Country. It is $40 off when you buy four or more tickets online…that’s a savings of $10 per ticket! Hurry, this special ends on August 12th. You can’t beat prices like these for a day full of shows, rides, and fun at either of these great parks!
The 9th Annual Stringtime in the Smokies is August 4th at Old Mill Square. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and hang out while listening to some of the best bluegrass music around. While you are there, enjoy a delicious southern lunch or dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant or the Pottery House Cafe and Grille.
Bubba Fest is being held at the LeConte Center on August 10th -12th. This family-friendly celebration of America’s Heartland will feature some great celebrities like Burt Reynolds, WWE star Kane, “Dog” and Beth Chapman, as well as many more. There will be a fun kick-off party at the Hard Rock Cafe on August 10th featuring three great bands and special guest Megadeth bassist David Ellefson. Be prepared to laugh and have a great time at Bubba Fest!
