Tourist Tuesday: July 30

The Argyrakis Family Visits Pigeon ForgeToday Pigeon Forge’s Tourist Tuesday guests are the Argyrakis family from Princeton, West Virginia.

The Argyrakis’ are a perfect example of traditional Pigeon Forge visitors. The father of the four member family informed me that this was probably the tenth time that they had been to the area.

“It’s close to home. I think it’s about a four and a half hour drive from where we live,” he said. “So it’s a good distance for vacation. We’ve got another little one [child] now so we just came on back.”

I met the Argyrakis family while they were waiting on the Fun Time Trolley to go to Dollywood. They said that they’ve even held season passes to the theme park in the past.

The family said they also plan on visiting the dinner show Dixie Stampede at some point during their stay. And since they’d already sped around in some go karts they’d most likely get in a game of miniature golf.

10 trips to Pigeon Forge is a testament to how fun a vacation here can be. There’s always something that makes it worth a return trip.

“We love the area. There’s just so much to do,” said Mrs. Argyrakis. “We’re planning on doing some tubing as well while we’re here.” They picked a great time, as we’re experiencing some of the best weather we’ve had all year here in Pigeon Forge.

If you haven’t already vacationed for the summer there’s still time to plan one before it’s over. We recommend heading our way and we promise it’ll be worth it!
