Chalkfest at The Island

Professional and aspiring chalk artists will gather at The Island in Pigeon Forge to adorn its concrete with colorful masterpieces made entirely with chalk during the annual Chalkfest. This year’s event is sponsored by Master’s Editions Fine Art Gallery at The Island in Pigeon Forge.

All artists, professional and aspiring, are invited to create a masterpiece. Registration is free and chalk and concrete are provided.

Artist Registration Fee: Free; register online

Theme: Food plays a key role in the cultural identity of the Smoky Mountain’s. Recipes, traditions and stories continue to be passed down around the table and form an important part of our heritage. For these reasons, our theme this year is food. The sky is the limit, so turn on the Food network and start brainstorming!

Working Time: Participants will have from 8am to 4pm to complete their work. You may continue to work on your piece after this time, but judging will begin at this time.

Awards: Awards will be presented on the Ole Smoky Moonshine stage at 6pm.
