The old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is certainly true in Pigeon Forge. In order to make a lasting memory, unique pictures are going to be important during your trip.
We’ve come up with some suggestions for photo spots in Pigeon Forge that you just can’t miss out on! Remember, these are just a few ideas and your creativity is encouraged during this process…
One of the most important pictures to get is by the sign at the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park from the Parkway. Hundreds of families stop to get this iconic picture each year so they can officially document their trip to one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Another classic photo opportunity is by the historic Old Mill. This place has been around since 1830 and still operates today, grinding grain that is used in many of the dishes served at the Old Mill Restaurant, and the spot is a great place to take a picture. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, the Old Mill and the river beside it is beautiful in any season.
Lots of people like to get their picture by the Dollywood train replica. It’s the next best thing to actually riding the real Dollywood train, which we highly recommend by the way!
The Hollywood Wax Museum might be the most interesting place to get pictures. The giant ape statue climbing the building on the outside is cool enough, but on the inside there are hundreds of super-realistic wax copies of all your favorite Hollywood stars. Posing beside them makes for some hilarious experiences and pictures.
The 180-foot upside down building, WonderWorks, and The Titanic Museum Attraction are both also in the running for most-interesting-picture opportunity. They’re both huge and incredibly unique. Plus, inside WonderWorks, there are countless mind-blowing activities and exhibits that are worth photographing.
These are just some of the places in Pigeon Forge that are sure to make great photo opportunities. Our city is full of crazy castles, go-kart tracks, mini-golf courses, and t-shirt shops that provide perfect photo opportunities. Don’t go home without having some awesome pictures to remember your family’s best vacation ever!
